Graphics Workshop

Graphics are an essential part of a television news bulletin: they provide a visual image and headline for each news update given by the anchor, and are an important element of the way the broadcast looks.

This semester, all “Newsline” graphics operators will be able to participate in a two-hour graphics workshop, to be held on Tuesday September the 18th, 2007 from 1:30-3:30pm at RMIT’s Building 6, Level 4 Mac Computer Lab.

Ron Frim, a current ABC News Director, will show crew members the Adobe Photoshop skills needed to create professional news graphics, as well as guide to the type of images that can accompany a news headline.

Those interested in being a part of the graphics department this semester should fill in the Online Crew Application Form!
